TREATMENT

There are many different chiropractic techniques but the McTimoney chiropractic technique assesses the whole body.

Chiropractic is a regulated healthcare profession that focuses on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the body’s nervous system. The nervous system consists of the brain, spinal cord and nerves and is protected by our skull and spine. It assists in efficient communication within our body but when a vertebra becomes misaligned, this can lead to dysfunction.

Misalignments can happen for many reasons such as poor posture, a car or sporting accident, repetitive activity or everyday stresses of life which may have been affected over many years.

There are many different chiropractic techniques but the McTimoney chiropractic technique assesses the whole body, not just the region where the pain or discomfort may be felt. A number of light, swift and dexterous techniques are used by hand, to adjust each individual bone that requires it. The speed of an adjustment causes a small vibration, which gives a joint an opportunity to rebalance. This restores nerve function allowing the body to function to its optimum. The whole body is checked at each appointment and this makes the gentle nature of McTimoney chiropractic a suitable treatment for people of all ages. McTimoney chiropractic treatment cannot only relieve pain and discomfort and increase mobility but can be used as a preventative therapy to provide a route to better health.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

“I first met Caroline when i was six months pregnant and suffering from pelvic girdle pain. The NHS physio basically said there was nothing they could do and prescribed me crutches.
Caroline spent a lot of time analysing where the pain was coming from and how best she could help and I have to say she is amazing. Because my baby was breach, walking was a real struggle and Caroline was able to realign me and allow me a good pain free period in between treatments. Without her knowledge and expertise I'm sure the last few months of my pregnancy would have been completely miserable and on crutches. I'm pleased to say I never had to use the crutches thanks to Caroline's expert treatment and even post C-section Caroline has helped me get stronger. I would not hesitate in recommending Caroline. She's not only very knowledgeable and experienced but is also a lovely lady who really takes the time to understand your needs and support you going forward.”
